Thomas Tuchel has extended his contract as England manager until after Euro 2028. The new two-year deal was announced on Thursday, 12 February 2026. Tuchel initially took charge of the national team in January 2025, with his previous agreement set to conclude after the 2026 World Cup.
The German manager expressed his happiness and pride in continuing his role, citing his enjoyment of working with the players and the support received. His core backroom staff, including Anthony Barry, Henrique Hilário, Nico Mayer, and James Melbourne, have also signed extensions.
Under Tuchel, England achieved a flawless qualifying campaign for the upcoming World Cup, winning all eight matches without conceding a single goal. This extension provides continuity for the team ahead of the World Cup, the UEFA Nations League, and the European Championship co-hosted in the UK and Ireland.
