Former Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou criticised the club's transfer strategy and wage structure, calling them "not a big club".

Former Tottenham head coach Ange Postecoglou has stated the club is "not a big club", citing their wage structure and transfer spending. Postecoglou, 60, made the comments on "The Overlap's Stick to Football" podcast, following the recent sacking of his successor, Thomas Frank.

Postecoglou, who was dismissed last summer after two years, led Tottenham to a fifth-place finish in his first season and Europa League success in his second. He revealed he sought to sign Premier League-proven players such as Pedro Neto, Bryan Mbeumo, Antoine Semenyo, and Marc Guehi in the 2024 summer transfer window.

However, the club instead acquired Dominic Solanke and three teenagers. Postecoglou believes Tottenham's actions contradict their motto, "To Dare Is To Do". Thomas Frank was sacked after a poor run, leaving Spurs 16th in the Premier League.
