Scotland have confirmed Charlotte, North Carolina, as their training base for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The national team will utilise Charlotte FC's state-of-the-art Atrium Health Performance Park. This 52,000-square-foot facility, which opened in 2023, boasts eight football pitches, modern locker rooms, a dedicated nutrition cafeteria, and a 2,800-square-foot weight room. It serves as the home base for Charlotte FC's first team, reserve team Crown Legacy FC, and all academy age groups.
Head coach Steve Clarke highlighted the quality of the MLS training facility and its convenient location for travel to match venues. Scotland will compete in Group C, facing Haiti and Morocco in Boston, and Brazil in Miami. The Scottish FA valued the controlled training environment and favourable weather conditions offered by Charlotte. This decision provides the squad with optimal conditions ahead of their first World Cup appearance since 1998.
