Courtney Brosnan, Megan Connolly, and Leanne Kiernan are back in the Republic of Ireland women's squad for March's World Cup qualifiers.

Republic of Ireland women's head coach Carla Ward has named a 23-player squad for the upcoming 2027 Women's World Cup qualifiers. Goalkeeper Courtney Brosnan, midfielder Megan Connolly, and forward Leanne Kiernan all return to the national team.

Everton's Brosnan missed the November Nations League play-off, which saw Ireland promoted to League A. Lazio midfielder Connolly and Nottingham Forest forward Kiernan, on loan from Liverpool, are back after recovering from injuries that sidelined them at the end of 2025.

Ireland will begin their Group A2 campaign at home against France on Tuesday, March 3rd, at Tallaght Stadium. Four days later, the team will travel to Utrecht to face the Netherlands on Saturday, March 7th. Ireland are also grouped with Poland in the qualifiers for the tournament in Brazil. The winners of each League A group will automatically qualify for the World Cup.
