Michail Antonio is in discussions with Qatari club Al-Sailiya and Championship side Charlton Athletic regarding a potential transfer, according to BBC Sport. The 35-year-old forward is currently a free agent after his contract with West Ham United expired in the summer of 2025. This move marks his intended return to the pitch following a serious car accident in late 2024.
Al-Sailiya competes in the Qatari second tier and reportedly offers a lucrative path for the veteran striker. However, Charlton Athletic remains a viable option as the London club looks to bolster its attacking options for the remainder of the season. Antonio previously played for the Addicks between 2011 and 2012, scoring five goals during his tenure at The Valley.
West Ham United chose not to renew Antonio's deal while he recovered from his injuries. The forward scored 67 goals in 254 Premier League appearances for the Hammers. Sources indicate that Antonio is prioritising regular playing time as he completes his rehabilitation process.
