Ange Postecoglou stated he would not consider a second spell as Celtic manager despite his affection for the Glasgow club. Speaking to BBC Sport, the Tottenham Hotspur manager described his two seasons in Scotland as an amazing experience but confirmed he preferred to leave those memories intact. Postecoglou won five domestic trophies at Celtic Park, including a treble in his final season before moving to London.
Postecoglou noted that returning to former clubs rarely matches the success of a first stint. He led Celtic to consecutive Scottish Premiership titles and established a high-tempo playing style that endeared him to supporters. According to the 59-year-old coach, his focus remains on his current role in the Premier League.
The Australian manager joined Tottenham in June 2023 following the departure of Antonio Conte. He clarified that his decision is not a reflection of his time in Scotland but rather a personal philosophy regarding his career progression. Celtic currently lead the Scottish Premiership under his successor, Brendan Rodgers.
