Nottingham Forest have appointed Vitor Pereira as their new head coach, with the 57-year-old signing an 18-month contract.

Nottingham Forest confirmed the appointment of Vitor Pereira as their new head coach on Sunday. The 57-year-old Portuguese manager joins the club on an 18-month deal, running until the end of the 2026-27 campaign.

Pereira becomes Forest's fourth manager of the current 2025-26 season. He replaces Sean Dyche, who was dismissed earlier this week following a goalless draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Nuno Espírito Santo and Ange Postecoglou also managed the club this campaign.

The former Wolves boss will lead Forest in their upcoming Europa League play-off round first leg against Fenerbahce. His primary objective will be to guide the club away from the Premier League relegation zone, with Forest currently sitting 17th in the table, three points above the drop.
