Celtic lost to Kilmarnock while Rangers drew against St Mirren, leaving the Scottish Premiership title race open.

Celtic suffered a 2-1 defeat against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park on Saturday. Despite leading through a first-half goal from Reo Hatate, the visitors conceded twice in the final 15 minutes. Marley Watkins equalised before Danny Armstrong secured the win for the home side with a late penalty, according to BBC Sport.

Rangers failed to take full advantage on Sunday, drawing 1-1 with St Mirren at Ibrox. Cyriel Desserts opened the scoring for the hosts, but Toyosi Olusanya equalised for the Paisley side. The result means Celtic remain top of the table, though their lead has narrowed to three points.

Per reports from the Scottish Premiership, third-placed Heart of Midlothian also gained ground following a 2-0 victory over Aberdeen. Both Glasgow clubs have now dropped points in consecutive fixtures for the first time this season. Managers Brendan Rodgers and Philippe Clement both expressed frustration with their respective teams' performances during the post-match press conferences.
