Football

Harry Kane became the first Englishman to score 500 career goals on Saturday, continuing his prolific scoring form.

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane achieved his 500th senior career goal during a 3-0 victory against Werder Bremen. Kane scored twice at the Weserstadion on Saturday, February 14, 2026, reaching the milestone in 743 games for club and country [9]. His goals included a penalty and a strike from 22 yards [9].

Kane is already England's all-time leading goalscorer with 78 goals in 112 appearances, a record he continues to extend [1, 6]. In the Premier League, he ranks second with 213 goals, 47 behind Alan Shearer's record of 260 [4, 11]. A return to England would allow him to challenge this record.

For current club Bayern Munich, Kane has scored 126 goals in 131 appearances [2, 17]. He is 15 goals away from entering the club's all-time top 10 goalscorers [2]. He also holds the record for the fastest player to reach 100 goals for a club in Europe's top five leagues, achieving it in 104 matches for Bayern [12, 18].
