Eberechi Eze scored twice for Arsenal against his former youth club Tottenham Hotspur to extend the Gunners' lead at the top of the table.

Eberechi Eze, who spent time at the Tottenham academy as a youth player, scored twice against his former club. According to BBC Sport, the midfielder stated he wanted to prove something during the North London derby.

Eze opened the scoring in the first half before adding a second after the interval. Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka also scored for the home side, while Son Heung-min recorded the only goal for the visitors. The result leaves Arsenal five points clear of Manchester City with four matches remaining in the season, per official league standings.

Tottenham remains in fifth place following the defeat. The match marks the second time this season that Eze has scored against Spurs, having previously found the net in the reverse fixture. Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta praised the squad's discipline during the post-match press conference.
