Police arrested individuals following alleged discriminatory chanting during Hull City's FA Cup fourth-round defeat to Chelsea on Friday.

Arrests were made at the MKM Stadium on Friday, 13 February 2026, following incidents of alleged discriminatory chanting during the FA Cup fourth-round tie between Hull City and Chelsea. Hull City lost the match 4-0 to Chelsea.

Warnings were issued over the public address system and on stadium screens in the first half, urging supporters to cease the offensive chants. A second announcement after half-time confirmed that arrests had been made. Hull City had previously warned fans that discriminatory behaviour would not be tolerated and could lead to banning orders and criminal prosecution.

The chants, reportedly directed at Chelsea, included the "rent boy" slur, which the Crown Prosecution Service has classified as a homophobic hate crime. Hull City head coach Sergej Jakirovic stated such behaviour has no place in a stadium. Chelsea head coach Liam Rosenior also condemned any discriminatory language as unacceptable.
